Simple Fresh Organic Kale Salad

Kale is a wonderful addition to any meal and almost a necessity to any healthy diet. It is packed with vital vitamins and minerals such as vitamin A, vitamin C, vitamin K, vitamin B6, calcium, fiber, iron, folic acid, potassium,  and magnesium. In addition it has a natural rich full flavor and its crisp leaves works perfectly in the simplest of salads.

A simple fresh organic kale salad is quite easy it only takes three ingredients; kale, balsamic vinegar and a nut. Multiple types of kale can give the salad extra color and enhance the presentation, in this example simple salad sunflower seeds were used (only because when I walked into my pantry I realized it was sunflower seeds, macadamias or hazelnuts)  if given the choice however almonds are a much wiser choice. When it comes to the balsamic vinegar, everyone has their own personal preferences however one of my personal favorites it a product of a California company, Sparrow Lane, specifically their blackberry balsamic vinegar. The balsamic has just the subtlest sweet fruit tones to the flavor.

Ingredients:
Fresh Kale
Basalmic Vinegar
Nuts/seeds

Directions:
Cut or tear fresh washed kale toss with sparingly  sprinkled balsamic vinegar of choice and add in nuts/seeds and enjoy. Serve fresh for crisp leaves.

Many different nuts an seeds have different benefits and properties. For a healthy choice top salad with sliced almonds. almonds are one of the healthier nuts out there. Packed full of omega-3 fatty acids, almonds also have high amounts of minerals such as copper and manganese both of which promote a healthy pancreas. The pancreas is a very important organ in the secretion of insulin and the metabolism of carbohydrates, a healthy pancreas can reduce ones risk of diabetes.
